What is the point of this forum?

The point is to have a place where the mods don't pay any fealty to existing ideological power structures. The "rationalist" family of forums are one of the only types of places where one can have serious discussion on the internet with the expectation that those who disagree with you are acting in good faith. Sadly, many of these forums are degenerating due to bad moderation.
Often these bad moderators accuse users who rationally pay no fealty to the consensus of those in power of harboring "dark" moral impulses. This is not true; we simply have become so rational that we see through the lies of the Jedi. Hence we are Dark Rationalists. Come join we have cookies

Well, you're here, and I'm here, plus, you know, a the others that have been posting here  . We can make this work. It'll seriously be the best forum in the history of all forums. It will be bigly. You know why this is? Not to brag, but it's because a) the admin is not a censorious douchebag b) the admin actually produces quality content (I hope you see it as such) himself.
